I left UHG 3 months ago thinking I could have a fresh start with another company. I thought the two weeks off prior to starting with my current company was all I needed to decompress from the emotional and mental exhaustion that I had endured over the years. While my new job is fulfilling, the culture has very little toxicity and there is a still a part of me that thinks it’s all a façade. I keep thinking it’ll be just like or worse than UHG and I have to remind myself constantly to give it a chance. Has anyone else thought/felt that way once they’ve started a new job?

It’s the same story at every other company out there. They all suck and treat humans like dogs
It took me about 6 months to stop hating the world. 2 years later I feel like I'm pretty much recovered.
Yes I have been at a new job for over 6 mos and am still shedding my old negative thoughts and assumptions that management will do something irrational or extreme at any moment.
I don't think the grass is greener on the otherside unless you make a name for yourself or be your own boss. America is a big corporation and is based off of Capitalism. We are the driving force around the world when it comes to the market. You have the high executive leaders who create and own the company. Then you have the working class who produces numbers and profit for him/her and that's all that matters that's what keeps the world turning. Labor! So the younger generation have waken up to social media in hopes of finding a career there so that they may ne their own boss. Don't wait too long or else you'll be stuck at the bottom forever!
I too wished for more than just 2 weeks to decompress. It’s amazing how a company can invoke so much trauma. It sounds crazy to say UHG has given me PTSD but it truly has.
