I ask out of curiosity: is anyone trying to keep their job in this joke of a company? It’s nice to go to a better company, but I can’t believe that those who are expecting layoffs and have no other option are not even trying to keep their current job, maybe by working harder than ever... no matter how futile.

I think your statement is incredibly insensitive and unkind. Any coasters at SGAS have been gone a long time. Hard working, talented people are being let go. But when you are expected to do the work of 2 or more previous coworkers plus your own and you could still be randomly let go, how much harder do you think these people should work? Sitting on the edge of your chair with a sword over your head after every quarter close is a stressful way to go about your day.
Sungardas is circling the drain!
@6wkj+1ab12lmP yep. Spend a week working on your assessment so you can get a 2.25 increase instead of 2%
Does Sungard still do self assesssments these days? Is there actually a performance review anymore
Anyone skilled at their craft will always have options. The job market is exploding right now.
Still, I believe most people who remain are trying as hard as they can. Clunky and outdated workflow may tend to mask some of those efforts.
Continued reductions and increased workloads for those who remain can't be helping.
