Question about retiree subsidized medical

Are spouse’s and family covered with the subsidized medical if you retire prior to reaching 65 I ‘m pretty sure they are at least under the current contract but Not 100% on this Legacy T. TIA

There are tools on the benefits web site to model your health insurance cost for retirement, based on your eligibility. Under life events, model retirement. Most bargained continue with current coverage until contract expires, however there may be a cost increase.

they are covered but do not get the subsidy (employee rate), only the group rate. It's kind of same situation that is present while employed. We heard (but confirm because things change depending on whom you talk to), that you can't add someone not already covered that wasn't covered at the time of retirement.
