As a Nace coating inspector , Working for Pembina was exciting but chief inspector will not listen to what the guidelines are telling you difficult to work with Formans of contractors because they don’t wanna follow the rules basically do your job get it done and get out
This is a company wide problem (corporate office and field). I have witnessed the Construction Manager instructing Contractors to cut corners, disregard contractual requirements & company specifications for the sake of budget and schedule, unfortunately this behavior is supported at all levels of management. Inspection is the last activity on new fabrication & field work and is always viewed as the reason/fault for schedule delay and/or additional cost regardless of how poor the contractor/fabricator performed.
The current Chief Inspector has an internal nickname of J the "Knuckle Dragger". If you joke around with him, he loves being referred to that.
