SS&C is purposeful dismantling the company and crashing it. This is their intent. What is really surprising is the clients on the Healthcare side do not all find other companies to support them. Many clients have left but the ones remaining seem to turn a blind eye to there is no one left with knowledge to support their systems.

I think it’s a mix of both. I worked for the division fka Argus before the takeover, and in fact before DST acquired sole ownership. I saw things start to go gradually downhill as soon as DST had unfettered control. I left for a number of years and returned after the hostile takeover, hoping for the best, fearing the worst and my fears were realized and then some. I do think SS&C is incompetent, especially in running a PBM. But I also believe they’re highly unethical. They came in promising to maintain the company’s individual identities and a large and lasting presence in Kansas City, then promptly changed the company names and started emptying and selling off buildings. It’s sad. I left before Christmas and I’m so glad I paid attention to the red flags. I landed in a much better place. I hope everyone who lost their jobs today has the same good fortune.
A lot of BFDS clients were BFDS clients, and not DST clients, because they didn't like DST. Not surprising they are leaving! DST acquiring/killing BFDS broke a lot of terrific long term relationships.
DST was and awful company and so is SS&C. Clients are leaving left and right the writing is on the wall.
In your opinion only. SS&C has ruined DST
They know exactly what they're doing. This isn't clueless mismanagement. This is purposeful.
