Things have been deteriorating here for years, slowly but surely. I'm among those who were hoping to continue to grow their career here but I've been stuck in the same position for years while I see less knowledgeable and less productive people get promoted. Something like that would have never happened ten years ago. Now I realize that if I want to move my career ahead, it'll have to be elsewhere.

Oracle sucks. Plain and simple. This is happening and has happened so long. I’m actually surprised no one acted out. The mgmt in my unit are some of he dumbest and most incompetent people I’ve ever come across in my life. Mostly slobs and Botox queens.
You're right, there is no bright future at Oracle. Get your resume together and get out.
10yrs ago it was a whole different management team. They would never let those losers get promoted. I got out and you can too. Use the free Orielly training, get certified or do whatever you need to do to freshen up the resume. I think they don't care anymore - they failed with their cloud, beginning to realize they are beat and turning into a low cost provider. It's the only way to keep making money at this point. MH did his job well and MH2 is drilling even bigger holes in the bottom of the boat.
You’re already less marketable now given that you have hung on for so long. Better quit thinking and talking about it , get off your duff and gtfo. Right. Now.
