New scheduling

I hear there will be only two shifts either 7-4 or 2-11 for full timers on front end. Is this true?

I agree the teaming schedules will cause major problems for many of the associates. I've been in that place, and there is no right answer. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

As for me, I lucked out, if you can consider coming in at 4am-1pm lucky. I have been on this shift for 2 years and it takes a toll on a person. I was hoping our SM would take the option of 5am-2pm instead. So much for hope.

Still, not all is bad. As far as I know, I'm the only associate to accept the offer. With that I had my pick of days off (this is the luck part). I will have Wednesday's and Saturday's off. That gives me a break for the arthritis flairs. More importantly, I will have more opportunity to see my grandkids.

Home Office doesn’t care how shorthanded you are; they don’t have to deal with it. Low staff = more money.

3 shifts. Decided by the store manager, 4 if you have overnight front end.

It’s funny because they can’t keep new hires long and they don’t have staff as it is. Today we had two cashiers and no front end team lead u till 2 no manger even came up to see if we needed anything. So I guess their goal is to have no staff at all. I mean people have their availability filled out for a reason.

Ok.. thanks. I’ve worked mornings anywhere from 6-5 for 10 years they offered me 10-7 and I don’t even get to keep my current availability or days off. So looks like I will decline and see what happens. They said they are doing it by seniority.. There was a 7-4 10-7 or 2-11 they said. And it would go for at least 6 months and then who knows what would happen then I guess redo it in 6 months. If you don’t take it you get what is left and if you don’t get at least 34 a week you will get bumped to part time. Sucks have 2nd job so will need to make some decisions.
