Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Jacking around with my severance

I just received word that they "miscalculated" my severance and I will be getting only 25% of what they told me initially-and possibly even less. It's been over three weeks since I was informed of my layoff and my last workday was last week.

Ever wonder that they "laid off" the wrong employee? I have the ability to read numbers and calculate percentages and stuff...

So I took my paperwork into my attorney to look it over and when he got to it he said "This is governed under Minnesota law. I'm not licensed in Minnesota." I did get a referral to another firm from him... but just another unforeseen delay.

Just got the THIRD change from US Bank for my severance. This one doesn't seem to be material, but I'll have my attorney look them over and compare.

Really awkward.

I would not go back if they offered twice what I was making before they eliminated my position. The more I think about how sick I felt working there the past few years; the more relieved I am to be free of that toxic culture.

I've got several follow-up interviews to be "hired back" by US Bank, but I'm not sure I would take any of them if offered... I really don't want to have to go through all this garbage a second time when I leave the firm again.

This is not right.

Had that too! Last day was 4/1. Got an over night UPS package basically saying “due a technical error, you aren’t getting at ALL” what we showed you when you were laid off.

Total SOBs... not only they are incompetent to treat employees well, they cannot handle a termination properly. Total dumba$$es... push hard and talk to a labor attorney.
