On the clinical side, they are splitting E&I off from M&R. So they have ICMs reviewing for M&R and ICMs reviewing for E&I. Has anyone heard of layoffs coming to the clinical side of E&I or automating the nurses job? They are also switching to Interqual guidelines instead of MCG which would be much easier to allow facilities to use IQ and if the case meets criteria they could get an automatic approval. This sounds like could be a team to easily be laid off.
