I’ve been trying to get on the expat circuit since I hired on. It was THE REASON I joined the company. Thoughts on if this will even be an opportunity for North American employees in the future? Any ideas of other companies or industries which still offer expat circuit opportunities?

Yes, but if you want that hard to staff location experience, you can request Carlsbad or Midland.
You’re better off getting an assignment that let’s you travel to your desired location often than getting an expat assignment.

A few slots at the BTC still for you to train your replacement and then be fired.
