Ongoing Layoffs Due to Corporate Tax Increase

I am going to bet that UHG will start laying off USA workers and hiring OffShore due the Corporate Tax increase.

They hired more (OGS) offshore teams so they will be laying off USA workers VERY soon. This company sucks!

Many took the severance so they are afraid to post. I wish someone would file a lawsuit for discrimination. Management has been known to step on their cranks and put it in writing or make comments to others that they "believe" will not talk about it.... su---r! Toxic place to work.

The new system rolls out to automate so many USA employees out of a job, which doesn't make sense because they've hired offshore to perform the same functions but a lot cheaper. This place sucks so bad!

The squeeze is starting to hit and we're hiring more offshore workers because they are cheap. I'm anxious to see it all shake out.

The layoffs are trickling in so they don't gain any attention from the press. This is a toxic sick company to work for.

An automation system will be rolled out in June and 3 teams will be laid off. 1 offshore and 2 USA teams. More to come.

If you watch the emails sent out by higher corporate you can see that we're trying to gain a better footing because we're losing money. It's like watching the American Greed show where they try to get new customers so they can take their money to pay off the debt past due! This is going down like the Titanic!

I'm a Tier II in E & I. Hopefully layoffs hit our department soon. Strep keeps going up and up with no end in sight.

Significant layoffs started in 2017.

In 2019, the layoffs expanded & accelerated, especially in late 2019. On January 1, 2018, the reduced current corporate tax rate took effect.

Viewing posts here from late 2019 and on the Optum board reveals the company's strategy. Unfortunately, no US onshore UHG or Optum employee is safe from the layoffs.

Bottom line, the corporate tax can be 0% and the C-Suite millionaires will still layoff US onshore employees because they only care about the stock price.
