As an experienced person who spent several years with CL I can attest that now people are so unraveled it is quite concerning. The management state " please keep your mind on task" - REALLY??? This is just a written comment to protect their friggin` arses if something does go wrong like a fatality/injury/inquiry etc.... then they (CVE tip brass ) can say - we told then to be careful - in where they have proved on paper and in Teams mtgs that they stated the obvious that they have told people to be careful. Well guess what CVE uppers, that is a pipe dream. When you have staff who were as an example in a great spot because they did thier time and due diligence and deserved certain positions honesty by doing their day to day up at the plant through thick and thin as was neccessary ( and dont forget those nights where the temps got down to -40 degrees C and kept your plants running ) and dedicated personnel keeping the bloody plant running through thick and thin - then you tell that same person you are moving them to a operations position sending them back on nights....how in the #%$%#ck do you think that staff member is going to feel = 100% ??? No g-d dang it. DZ/AP - get your act together and support your people up there making the company money....support your people. Carmen.......give me a friggin break........the "1 year in a tent story for a year" just doesnt cut if for me". Try swinging some 24 " valves at 1500 turns with 3 operators to accomplish that task to closure and then youll see what it takes to be a team and an oil person. Pretty pathetic to say the least. Dont try and sell a story that you have done your time - you have not. You will do your time after 30 years maybe....to be seen. People, you have options - take them - dont take friggin bu—t. Operations - you know what Im saying.

Most of the operators at CL have an entitled attitude. Most have never worked anywhere but. They feel that when they’re promoted it’s fair and they’ve earned it. The truth is, almost everyone in operations is under qualified and has been put in their position because of the same buddy system they’re now against because it has negatively effected them. If it’s that bad... keep your head down and find work elsewhere. The market is booming flor well trained and competent operators. I think most Cenovus operators are finding that the only place that they can work is Cenovus due to the inherent lack of competency. You all kept sh—g in your own bed and now you’re complaining that it stinks and is uncomfortable. The other option is simple. Grow a spine and form a union. Most won’t like this because they still want the special treatment programs. They just only want them for themselves. Actual oil workers at CL are few and far between.
