The worsening of the work environment has all but ki—d my motivation. I used to be a 110% kind of guy and now I have to force myself to do anything but bare minimum. It's not as if my work will be noticed or affect my standing in any way. They'll continue to promote through nepotism and they'll continue to reward brown nosing. There's nothing I can do to change that, so why bother?

Let's face it, work sukcs for most people. It's just a part of life. Don't take it seriously else you'll ruin your health and make it worse for the people that are surrounded by you everyday (like your family). Remember, when the company notifies you of layoff, it only takes them a second to cut the rope. Work is work, just come out learning something for your next job. It's like this for most people after 15+ years unless they have a really cool job, but I'm sure even cool jobs get boring after sometime. We only have one life, so take it easy, and enjoy it. Work will always be there - if not this job then the next.
Your fuse has burned. You need to either find a way to renew your enthusiasm or leave. Otherwise you will only hurt your own career.
Well my work ethic has value as I value my time. If this garbage dump doesn't recognize it then they can be left with the lazy sheep they love so much.
Get out, I can tell you as a former employee the grass IS greener at the competition.
It's like I wrote this.
Get away -RUN from L3 as fast as you can. Working hard or not at all makes NO difference.
I disagree. You're contributing to the already low bar that they've set. I never lowered my standards despite the incompetent people (including a Director and Supervisor) in my department and in the rest of the company.
It's called a work ethic for a reason.
