Looks like Nike is claiming that the people quitting are actually lay offs according to Footwear News. Essentially, all that said no to the vax quit and Nike is spinning the story in the news to look favorable for them, when they actually are having a HUGE retention problem. It’s not all about the vax. It was also the re-org from h–l. Major morale issues, among other things that I imagine are their own image issues.

Yeah HR knows exactly the dials to turn to increase attrition....this allows them to reduce headcount without paying for it. I have worked at a company that did this and Nike is really starting to feel like that kind of environment.
Google can’t seem to find the Footwear News article you mention.
There algorithm must be off in this one very specific instance as it seems to be able to find most everything else on the web. Weird...
They always factor in attrition when they have layoffs. At any rate, this is the new normal. Expect people to lose jobs every year (rank and yank) and more to leave on their own (burnout).
