Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Why were you so sure about 4/15?

Why was 4/15 so reported as a layoff date and there were literally NO layoffs. What is the actual date?

Regarding layoffs on April 15, were there layoffs for CST (clinical support team) or OPAS team (physician advisor services). Both were based in Newtown Square Pa. but now are either working from home or at Norristown base

Read up on the move initiative. Trust me. High management bery happy when they get more savings than they thought by trimming the fat. Its been on going and will continue.

Layoffs are occurring but to avoid legal issues folks that got laid off dont post due to severance agreement issues. There were layoffs. More to come later. This is not like Centene that did 3000 in one day. This will be slow and painful process. 20 here. 30 there.

My group was about 21 laid off. Very quiet. No responses on this site about it. We all have packages. We kept quiet since it sucks to be in the out the door group. Folks that know I was laid off try to distance themselves from me like I am some sort of disease that will get them laid off.

The funny thing is that the folks that are staying wished they were laid off. They now consider a layoff as a promotion.

The only good news is getting vaccines now so more job opps are available.

I spoke with a headhunter and I told him I wanted to work for a health company that cared for its employees. He said that will limit quite a few places.
