This is very misleading. IBM doesn't just have 4 straight quarters of decline, it has 27 out of the last 28. Let's not let one miraculous up quarter distract you from the real picture.

Stock went up. Financiers are happy. That’s all that matters. It’s turning around finally.

Revenue grew 1% (actually 0.91% if you bother to do the math) based entirely on currency fluctuations. If you hold currency constant, revenue actually SHRANK by 2%.
Bottom line, this quarter IBM made $1B of net income (roughly speaking) but had to grant $1.5B of dividends because he is trapped by his dividend policy. A good sign for the future for sure !
IBM grew by 1% only by using Generally Unacceptable Accounting Principles.
At least they are consistent in that they ignore COLA (aka "constant currency" aka "inflation") for their financial statements the same way they ignore it for salary increases of their employees.
Numbers are non–GAAP. IBM is still doing shenanigans with the financial numbers.
Less than 1 percent growth.

Oh! No layoffs? You must be dreaming – Good or bad Quarter, IBM will continue its actions and continue to be mistrusted by employees! As if nothing happened! WE don't even acknowledge people who are departing after so many years of hard work and sacrifice. So sad to see a great institution going down in its achievements and future potential. Good luck to you hanging on the IBM boat so far and so long!
What growth? Again the mainframe Z15 saving the day... there was really no growth. Not to mention AK giving wrong guidance for Q2... thanks god Tony Sacconaghi caught him up in the act!!!
