Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Allegory

Picture this:
A doctor performs brain surgery on a patient every few years, cutting out different nerves and connections each time. Surgery after surgery after surgery. The patient is trying to rehab with what’s left, and the doctor keeps on wondering why it takes longer than usual for the patient to continue to perform everyday tasks in the areas affected by the surgery. It’s a mystery, no?

Here's another perspective: What happens when a spouse constantly abuses the other spouse and then begs them to stay saying "it will get better." But it never does. This is called the Battered Wife / Husband Syndrome. At AIG, the remaining staff left behind has to pick up and do the extra work getting nothing extra for it.

There was an old movie called Broken Arrow where an Army officer steals a nuclear device, the code name was Broken Arrow. The person chasing him down says "I don't know what's worse, that someone can steal a nuclear device or that it happens so often we have a name for it!"

Wow, very true, except the AIG “doctors” charge more and more money
