Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

When I still worked for Nordstrom I went on a shopping spree at the Rack thinking I got some good deals -- girl ringing me up says, "wow, these are almost as good of a deal as Ross!" which I didn't know... but she was right -- even with my discount I could have done just as well at Ross. And now Rack seems to have even junkier stuff, so no reason to go there at all.

Two racks have closed this year. Isn’t that suppose to be the golden child.. lol
Ever since they went on a massive expansion of racks there product has been garbage at the rack. Tjmaxx is still destroying them.

Oh, I was reading the graphs upside down, business is in decline and not booming. Sorry folks! I had posted earlier business is booming. I need to inform the leadership again and flip the good news slides

Forget exactly who, but one of the executives said in an interview that Nordstrom, for the time being, is done with full line closures.

I’d say that closures going forward will be due to a major renovation being needed at a store that isn’t doing amazing, or changing demographics in the market. As of now, Nordstrom has a strong store base.
