This is a perfect example of someone in marketing trying to turn a terd into a gold nugget because they know that most people don't know squat about how to understand data. Here's an example: Service one has 1,000,000 users and adds another 1,000 in a month. That's 0.1% growth. Service two has 100 users and adds another 100 in a month. That's 100% growth. So, which service is in better shape?
Yes, HBO Max is growing faster than Netflix. Or Disney. Or Hulu or Amazon Prime. That's because there aren't nearly as many people using the platform as are using Netflix, or Disney, or Hulu, or Prime (or Apple ...)
Folks like Stink are betting that people are big enough dopes to fall for it. But hey, congrats to T. Their service has so few people it has the potential to grow faster than any other!
