The field is really struggling right now. Staffing levels are at dangerously low levels. With the already below wages we’re paying I can’t see it getting better any time some.

Don't look for any help soon. It's going to be like this everywhere for awhile. Hertz is going to have to compete with the likes of McDonald's for people. Hertz will have to raise starting wages to attract folks, but they won't because they're cheap. They'll just dangle the carrot of revenue bonuses in front of them and hope that they bite.
After years of having nothing to do and all day to do it, you forgot how to work. Here a Corporate you do not hear us complain, we cash our bonus checks like good little workers. PS, have the mangers get out of the nice cars and drive service vehicles, we have plenty of those.
It has more to do with the way Hertz is treating these customers. Subjecting customer to ridiculous wait times or worse yet outright not fulfilling a reservation.
Stop complaining, and get off your lazy A... and get to work
