How hard is it to change groups at Teradata? I feel the manager is biased. I'm also thinking about reporting to HR.

Documentation only works if those in leadership will review it. I saved every email, took notes, had objective facts, and witnesses. HR not only ignored the matter, they went so far as to say it was he said / she said. My Manager had noting documented, lied, claimed I declined a request, and had zero proof to say she did any of it. I have every proof I need, far more than reasonable doubt. Nothing. I even appealed to useless, fake, and oh so inclusive KCC and the useless CEO SM who always claim we can contact them with any issue. Nothing. I have nothing but contempt for dereliction of this magnitude.

I am sorry you are going through this situation. Been there, it sucks. My suggestion is to document EVERYTHING with time stamps, screen shots, emails, docs, and so forth. Cover your bu-t. You have a right to your feelings, but there has to be something concrete and clear cut. If you do not do this, it becomes a he said she said situation which then becomes a cluster.
If you are interested in moving positions, you do not have to inform your direct manager right away and I would encourage when interviewing for positions to inform the individual you would like to keep this confidential and work out a transition plan if things move forward. Once things become more solidified, I would then inform your manager. If the manager retaliates in any way, this will just be another thing to add onto the pile of evidence. Good luck.
Teradata HR is nothing but a bunch of weak minded women who claim to be leaders. What a joke, they can’t even begin to stand up for women at Teradata or any employee. I was a female manager at Teradata (left 2 years ago and the grass is greener) and I can attest that HR cannot and will not stand up to the men in that company. Just ask CG, I can’t believe she is still there making bad decisions and throwing female managers under the bus. She and many in HR just do the bidding of the male executives without thinking for themselves or following any of the ethical rhetoric that is being spewed. Your best transfer would be out of Teradata all together.
HR hides behind their binding arbitration clause, while blatantly covering for mgrs who engage in harassment, discrimination, and theft.
HR at TD is a total joke, sorry. I filed a bias complaint to my C-level, HR and Director and got laid off for it, while they kept the person who has multiple complaints by many. TD states transfers are encouraged for growth, but it's not easy to do- you either stay where you are or quit, those are the only choices unfortunately.
Someone that had a bad manager brought on last year. HR suggested they apply elsewhere internally, they did, got a verbal offer, and their manager put them and their remaining team mates on performance plans so no one could transfer.
That whole team left Teradata for better positions within six months.
Teradata HR is big joke. Not one serious leader in the bunch. Just a bunch of kowtowing women that think they are leaders yet let the men lead them around by the nose. They wouldn’t know ethical if it was slapped in their faces in court. As soon as you report the manager and especially if it’s a male, HR clues them in.

Reported my manager,HR did nothing and claimed lying was not unethical. Literally told drop it or leave.
your manager is a product of their own management and training. If anything, they're towing the company line by being biased against someone for no reason. This company is clearly past the point of saving. Move on.
Report to HR and you will be gone. HR supports management not the workers.
You have to inform your current manager if you are planning to move internally.
The mgr is probably jaded and taking it out on people who don't have much leverage.
