mach e and tesla aren't competing with each other for the 2% of automotive market that's EV. both are competing for the 98% of the market that's ICE and both could 10x current production and still not be demand limited.

I would normally agree with you regarding the early adaptors comment. However, regarding BEV's these are being mandated in many countries world wide with commitments by the US manufacturers to be mostly electric by 2030. The public will have few alternative but to adopt this technology.

Any new product in a segment will gain sales from competitor's so this is not news IMO. The key will be how the product fares once we get past the special first year of electric Mustangs. There are a few early adopters and collectors at work.
