Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Are you afraid to leave Verizon?

I'm trying to find a new job and sending out a lot of applications, however, I know that when I get an offer I will be in a big dilemma. After so many years here, it is not easy to leave the company despite the fact that the working conditions have become more than bad. The longer you are here, the more anxious you are when you need to move to another company. I should have left much earlier, I would have been less anxious.

Don’t go to Atnt or T mobile. Same bs different color. Go to a different industry and try something different. Cell phones are dead. 5G is not going to help you make quota. When was the last time you felt like you were being developed to learn new skills? Never. Go hit your number but don’t do fraud. 330 million people, 360 million phones out there. My math says saturated, no growth. Get out. It’s all in your mindset. If you want to go somewhere, get your cv together, get your LinkedIn together, GO!

I did the same thing and there is an adjustment period for sure but once you are away from it, the absurdity of it all becomes very clear. The only thing that VZ had going for it was the pay and financial benefits. The culture is an embarrassment and senior leaders are too busy with politics and screwing with employees. I was in b2b as a SM for I’ve never been more embarrassed to be part of an organization. Life on the other side is much better.
