According to my steward here in New Jersey, 1101 or 1103, whatever local covers the CSSC in New York, is the biggest hold out to Work From Home being permanent. Can anyone from New York verify this? Why would they have the power to prevent the rest of the locals from negotiating in good faith for their members? Are they really that hateful of their membership?

Work from home protects jobs! If the union thinks paying for all the costs of keeping an office open, paying for insurance for said building, paying for the utilities, and all other costs associated with keeping an office won’t be a reason to outsource then their needs to be an emergency election form new officers. I don’t think the union could be this foolish.
Wrong. Pole and ho-e climbers more susceptible to jobs being sent away to cheaper contract labor after 2023. Tick tock! Tick Tock! Soon it will be time!
@qpq+1b1gv2L5 That’s a line I’ve heard before but it’s completely nonsensical. They already outsource so your argument is moot. Work from home Will protect jobs, not send them overseas.
One thing I've never understood is that if people aren't in an office then they are more susceptible to having their jobs sent away. If the company wants to outsource work what is the difference if the employees are in an office environment as opposed to a working from home environment ??
Just remember, if your work can be done outside the office, it can be done outside the US. In this case, that local may be protecting their members from having their jobs outsourced.
Get back to the garage you bums.
It’s 1101, who aren’t stupid, and I’m sure they’re negotiating to keep us home with a fair update to the contract. It would be silly to send us back.
