I don't know how true it is for folks from Houston to have the option to choose to be relocated to Plano instead of package (which someone mentioned in the thread below), but I wonder how many people would accept such an option? I would always prefer the package.

Unfortunately the Plano job might be short lived and you could be riffed again, only this time With bigger mortgage
Are they assisting in relocation or cost needs to be paid from employee's pocket?
He-l yeah. Take that package and run. It may not feel like the right choice to take given the circumstances of everything in the world right now, but in the long run, it will be the best. Good luck.
