I’m not saying it’s ideal, not even that it’s good here, but it’s personally comfortable here for me and I’d rather stay here for a few more years. I have a lot of things I could complain about, but let’s just say it’s bearable and more comfortable for me than at my previous company.
Still, I hear advice from all sides that I should leave this place because it can only get worse here. I don’t know, should I leave the company even though I’m fine here right now?

1b9v2yos That is why this company sucks. All worried about dotting every "I" and crossing every "T" when everyone knows it's and "I" and a "T" and reviewing that kind of stuff is just a waste of time for everyone involved and serves no point. I know poster, why not make a PowerPoint on the use of "accept" and "except" and make sure and show it to everyone and waste their time on something that no one gives a rip about. But hey, your boss will like it and you sound smart....at least to yourself. Get a life. Ge-z.
Let’s hope they’re not paying you too much if you don’t know the difference between the word accept and except
The company drains my soul. But I except that for the compensation.
Every day you spend at COP is another day becoming more irrelevant on the job market. Get out before you can’t.
E & P company of choice? You must be out of your mind. This place is second rate in every way, especially in strategic thinking. It is good, however, at rewarding empty suit execs and toadies.
It’s bearable and you’re fine for now. If that’s how you want to live, stay. If you want something more and decide you want a career and life that’s more than “bearable”, do like so many others have done and make a break for it. Look at the lifers in COP. Yeah...there’s your answer.
Depends.... do you have a pension? Probably not. If you do, is it the defined pension? Probably not . Are you a high p-t? Probably not. Probably not if don’t know, then you’re not. Do you have other opportunities? Do you want a career? Do you want to be fulfilled? Do you want to be happy? So weigh the money against your sanity and happiness. The choice is yours.
You should stay here at the E&P company of choice.
