Don't shoot the messenger. There is a comment circulating on social media right now from someone with apparent inside knowledge of the PPL-IPL merger. According to this individual, Pembina promised the IPL board that they would not lay off anyone from IPL, but instead if any changes to staffing were required, all layoffs would occur at Pembina. So, if true, did our management sell all of us out or did they lie lie to IPL?

This is actually true . It is one of the reasons why the IPL board is recommending Pembina rather than Brookfield
I wouldn't put it past Pembina leadership to lie as they tend to spin things quite effectively. If I could offer to get laid off, I would do it in a heart beat. There is only so much of the cult one can take.
I'm guessing the original poster is referring to the Tweet from earlier today..? I went back to try and find it but it's since been deleted. Hopefully someone took a screenshot.
Please elaborate on what social media this is on. I would like to see it.
