Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Only bare minimum

Do you work the bare minimum or do you try to keep the job by working hard?
I used to feel sorry for those who have not learned any lesson from the layoffs so far, and that is that hard work here means nothing. Some people still try and give 100 percent of themselves. I think that it is a much better option to give this company the bare minimum, and to dedicate yourself to looking for a new job.

Well for the "current Fiserv" the bare minimum is what they deserve. Of course if you are an a$$ho-e and still there, you get whatever treatment you deserve.

@2mhg+1bAASnMU Totally something Fiserv would do. They will probably just say something like. We made a ton of money but not as much as our investors wanted so no raise this year but here is a 1% one-time stock bonus that will vest over 5 years.

@1wts You won't be getting another pay increase until 2023, you understand that right? During your 2021 year end review, when you would normally get a merit increase, you'll be reminded that you just got a merit increase in July. At mid year 2022, when people start questioning, You'll be told that its standard to give merit increases during a year end review not at midyear.

2% for six months = 1% annual.

I figure if they give me 2%, I'll work at 90% for a month or two to make things equal.

You want higher output? Stay paying more.

I used to do the bare minimum, but then I found a job somewhere else and no longer work for Fiserv, so now I give 110%. I finally took vacation this week, and I still want to go back.

This is what happens when, unlike FISV, a company actually values its employees, has decent camaraderie, and pays way better than FISV ever could.

I wish more people had this attitude! Sit back, relax, collect the pay check and coast. Fiserv created the perfect environment for bad behavior, it starts at the top. Stop giving 100% because it won't get you anywhere, meritocracy it is not.

I also do the bare minimum the least I can do , and encourage others to do the same , and show them how to exceed at doing less without being caught , this is a environment that Fiserv itself has created

You can work 200% and still get a meets. I quit caring when I worked hard and only got a meets a few years in a row with no justification. I think they felt that they could just give me that rating because they knew I would still work hard.

I honestly hope things at Fiserv get better, I know quite a few great people that still work there. I just don't feel like it will happen with the currently C-level leadership. They will push out the good people (both OFD and OFS) and get a bunch of cheap 20 year olds in. Watch your LTR scores continue to decline.

The real issue is Fiserv has too many products using too many different technologies. Until they FORCE the BU's to use standards and modernize... that is how Fiserv will long term save a ton of money. Who cares let's use every type of database, middleware, coding language, and keep adding more everyday.

ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM, EVERY DAY, ALL DAY. DON'T GIVE ANYTHING MORE BECAUSE THIS COMPANY DOESN'T GIVE ANYTHING BACK.

The only reason I go to the automation meetings are because I am curious to find out how many meetings in a row can we go where nothing changes. Like at all. It is been six months worth of meetings. We could just copy and paste any prior meeting into the current meeting but for some reason we go through the process every time. I am stuck between feeling annoyed and awestruck at how little gets done. Truly they are experts in the field of not doing anything.
