Has anyone heard what they plan to do with this? How can we hire for the holidays if we can’t hire on the spot?

OF COURSE WE WILL BE OPEN THANKSGIVING. AND YOU BETTER HAVE ALL THE OPEN 60,000 HOURS FILLED THAT DAY USING THE 50 COLLEAGUES CURRENTLY EMPLOYED.
This will be a very interesting fourth quarter. Sink or swim time for Macy’s. IF they’re smart will not open on Thanksgiving would be a mistake for several reasons not just low amount of staff. If Kohl’s and Walmart can close on Thanksgiving this is a no brainer. Why did they change the hiring system?
I hear it is still a mess. I have a friend on the SWAT team and claims their reports are a mess and it can take so long to get a req. If there is a problem, submit a ticket. That seems to be the solution for everything.
I left over a month ago after many years with the company. Best thing I ever did. You worry at first and feel sad to leave your colleagues, but after you are gone, you feel so much better!!! Trust me! Macy's is a mess. That is why there is so much turnover!!
Is Macy's going to be open on Thanksgiving day 🦃? Kohl's already made a announcement they will be close on that day. 🦃 🍽️
Cuts will happen in aug to save a buck to make xmas time look like a home run when in truth is the company is sinking fast and they will keep cutting till there no fat left. Run !!!
LOL there is no plan - senior leadership is choosing to not recognize that there is even a problem - I just gave my two weeks - get out now while you can - land something before fall so you’re not left in the lurch at Macy’s for holiday
