Are you still proud to say you work for Verizon?

I was initially proud to join Verizon, although this is no longer the case. Verizon's constant demands brought me into a place where my anxiety is out of control, depression dragging me into a place where I do not care anymore. So much talk about integrity, so little used in daily practice. Persistent threats - produce or you will be promoted to customer, do this or you will be promoted to customer, do not do this any you will be promoted to customer. All the while pushing DEI down my throat at every opportunity. You know nothing about me, who I am does not matter to you. Soon, you will find that you are better off without me.

FOX News Corp donated $1M to Red Cross for Florida.

Verizon donated $125K.

I worked here since before it was Verizon and it is just a job. I don’t broadcast to people where I work. If they ask I’ll tell them but all they want to know if I can help them with some cell phone issue verizon or not.

Used to be a great place to work. Now that the V-esterbeg teamers and their woke BS have taken over, not so much. Just hanging on till retirement. Not long now.

Terrible place to work. You aren't valued or appreciated. Work in wireline. Management bonuses are based on employee productivity and causes nothing but conflict between them and employees. Been here over 20 yrs and have hated most of it. If your looking for a job go anywhere else rather than VZ. Abusive environment!

I loved working for Verizon until the place went all woke. Then I became ashamed to work for VZ.

We, the employee's, HATE working for Verizon and despise all of their shenanigans. Never ever would I recommend anyone to them for employment or products. It's really a shame, it use to be a great company but now their main drive is only money which is causing mistreatment to their employees and their customers. If Verizon is to survive they'd better change quickly.

VERIZON SUCKS! Lazy district managers, Lazy managers, they always contradict each other, there process sucks, they dont know how to sell, political job where you gotta kiss a-s to move up, DM always picks his favorites its obvious, DM working with Family who allows that WAIT political right, they ask you to do so much but take away all rewards, been saying this for years they make you work more to make less, sad but true. Finally realize its time to move from this headache imma end it like this this Store Manager at our location "Corporate" blah blah blah is the Most lazyness person makes over 100k+, knows how to manipulate people, does not work 40 hours, uses his "Peasants" what he calls us, always late, "ITS HIS STORE AND WHATEVER HE SAYS GOES" how does a store dont allow upgrades but before pandemic "UPGRADES UPGRADES UPGRADES KEEPS UR JOB" at the end he will always get away with it because hes close with his DM and they both the same they cool with HR they have Reps that produce thats why they never get apprehended... oh but im just a nobody they use me "top rep so many years" but your only as good a yesterday f all ur stupid certificates trashed same day💯

Worked retail till it was on the edge of oblivion. Wanted to die. Made it to B2B as a business account manager and now I love my job. WFH, flexible, no employees to bi--h about their jobs (they have a reason to bi--h). The money is better too.

Used to be envied and so proud to work at VZW but now after 20+ yrs it’s embarrassing I don’t want to get caught out in public with the logo on and even my moms upset trying to explain to her church friends why Big Red has screwed them! Jeez

Biggest joke ever I had the most new lines in the store but because I don’t broom customers and I actually help the customer when they come in I get screwed because of my transactions and didn’t make new line on my contribution But then there is people that do half the amount of transaction and they get praised for being lazy

I remember Chuck Lee walking around and shaking everyones hand and wishing us a merry christmas and it was pretty early in my career and I thought it was pretty neat. Im not sure even then i was excitided to say i worked here or would volunteer that info.
Everytime i think it has become just a job somehow it spins and gets a little bit worse and im like now it is just a job. It pays ok and has good benefits and depending on your department can be a healthy work environment but those are fewer and far between.

Yep! Pay is decent. I get in. Do my 40 and get out. Been able to pay for multiple surgeries over the past 2 years and get paid disability. Then again I'm in corporate.

No. But I do have a multi million dollar 401k, that was about the only thing worth my 20+ year career.

I am proud of the countless dollars, and efforts by this company to contract out independent researchers, ( if its possible in todays world to find a 3rd party w/o an agenda of who is writing the check) to do independent studies on the long term/short term, environmental, ect. on the effects of 5G waves on humanity. Well done Verizon, making billions of revenue and forging ahead, with zero research on if its safe or not. Who cares. Its almost like the government told them not to care. Leave it up to the FCC. Excellent! so proud!!! tears.

I absolutely LOATHE VerLIEzon. This company went downhill when Lowell McAdam took control. They don't care about their employee's nor their customers. I don't mention that I work for them and try to talk anyone else out of seeking employment with them. All of the money is just going into upper management pockets while they slave us to death. They're only getting 30 years from me until 2023 and not a day more.
