Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Happy to say “no”

I’ve reached a point in my career that I’m actually prepared to move on. I’ve been applying elsewhere and in the meantime if I’m ever asked to come in early or stay late my answer will be NO. If I’m asked to cover weekends or someone else’s shift my answer will be a definite NO. What is the worst they can do to me as long as I work my shift? I can’t wait to leave. There has been nothing enjoyable about my club. I say good riddance once I’m gone.

Say no...just like they say no when you need time off or go into their speil about what bs time you can use. This company gets worse by the minute. They sit back and play their sams chess game and decide what move is best for them, how to force someone out or how to get their buddies moved to another spot! It sucks but that's the company you work for.

I’ve learned to say no as well, they don’t appreciate your hard work we are just bodies to fill a spot and we are replaceable in a instant! I’ve been with Sam’s for 10 years and it gets worse every day

I said yes for soooo many years. What a pleasure it is to now say no. Used to care about making a little OT, now couldn't care less. Moving up in this company is one step closer to the door, or wanting to ki-l yourself.

You are one of the workforce members that will always do the minimum. No matter what field you work in. You will just get by & live paycheck to paycheck. Don't blame Sam's, you were born with this work ethic. It won't change at your next job.
