The truth about Permian

The SEC investigation on Permian revealed lot of inconsistencies. Current situation is worse with horrific staffing moves and declining competitive position( not even top 10)

What still makes people working the Permian that they should take the BS? Can you please share ground reality and how our ‘crown jewel’ is really doing? The operations folks work hard and management is ruining everything, can we expose some obvious problems?

Pretty sad if a VP can’t decide how to use his own budget. I guess being a VP doesn’t mean much.

So corporate HR mandated the COLA be dropped at the first sign of trouble? I don’t think so. Classic lack of leadership. I am a VP but I can’t do anything about this. Total BS. If he called HR and said this needs to happen it would happen. Just like HR was told to stop the cola and it happened immediately in spite of written promise it would last until the end of 2020 before being evaluated again.

That’s because he actually isn’t the one who decides. Corp HR is a functional organization that never has the business in mind.

Drilling is making records. Look at the number of feet of wells being brought into production and the number of rigs and frac crews doing the work. Fewer crews getting a lot more work done. It is not the whole story to just look at number of rigs.

Apparently Bart doesn’t have much juice. He can’t even get the COLA reinstated. Keeps saying he isn’t the one who decides.

Ops continues to improve and set records, but you can’t completely offset acreage position and fiscal arrangements with operations efficiency alone.

I am confused. I don’t know about Permian, but in Yammer and in LinkedIn all drilling managers are saying we are creating records every day. Is that not true?
I am asking without prejudice, can someone please tell truth if we are really winning in Permian or not?

You would rather have a VP who doesn’t visit your site ? Looks like you are a low-life hater. Get on with it bro — haven’t seen a better VP than him, he cares for the GBL and people and fights the good fight

With Bart dropping by to greet the groups, I feel much better.
Plus he even made a self aggrandizing LinkedIn post about it.
Gotta love a self promoter, climber, and pretender.
He told us, everything is awesome.

Meanwhile ranking of those who aren’t pets drops because pets are taking all the space in the ranking buckets at the top

People are leaving in droves. Company can’t get anyone to move out there. Commonly referred to as the sh-t show by those there. Only management calls it the crown jewel.

Has become a dumping ground for pets of VPs to be placed in roles they are not qualified to have placing additional burden on already overworked teams.
