Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Why did you decide to go to the competition?

If the general consensus is that all the big banks share very similar problems, then why are more and more of my former colleagues from BNY Mellon moving to the competing bank I am in now?
With all due respect to my previous workplace, but I think BNY Mellon is starting to lag far behind some of the biggest competitors. In many ways.

@1yeq+1bHlYmE, you nailed it right on the head. Sad thing is their all running around playing CYA because of the culture that has settled into the bank. Turns even the good ones into weasels you wonder if you can really trust.

Robin Vince is Todd’s take out. Look at the proxy. He got paid $10mm. He is learning the business, just a matter of time. Robin didn’t leave Goldman for his current job. He was promised the big job.

The "interim" CEO was appointed as the permanent CEO, so unless the board boots him, he isn't going anywhere and they're not looking.

Well BK is still No.1 Custodian Bank (Source:Wiki) but no efforts to stay at No.1 or maintain that position. Our Interim CEO is more interested in who is a Diversity & Inclusion champ this month.
