3 weeks left in the Cisco fiscal year…what’s the vibe like in GES and Commercial? Has the musical chairs slowed down yet? Will GSX (Impact) ever happen again?

@3nok Sales is on the org that deserves a party. They are the only reason Cisco is still in business. They have to sell the awful product engineering makes and support it since CX are worthless.
The level of money blown at GSX could easily sponsor multiple "regional" parties for all teams (Engineering, support, sales, etc.......NOT just sales). GSX may be great for the sales teams, but it always sends a bad message to the rest of Cisco (ie you are not important enough for a fun week-long party).
It’s plausible to view GSX (Impact) as a method of cultivating retention. I remember my first GSX; I was 100% sold that I made the right decision to join Cisco commercial SE ranks after leaving Vegas. Any organization that treated its sales team like that is where I wanted to be. Without an event like that for the global sales community, it becomes another selling point to join a competitor that sees value in those types of event.
It would be fiscally irresponsible to have impact in person again.
GSX, in my opinion, is a colossal waste of fiscal resources. Untold millions of dollars, to drag the Cisco sales force out to Las Vegas. Better off spending that money on something useful, like product development or retention strategies.
