I have sent out two. I am still trying to decide what industry and jobs I should be applying for.

Applied for only one and got it. I am just picky. The Best thing that ever happened was to get rid of ExxonMobil from my life.

Look at Amazon. If you want out of O&G they are one of the few places you can pivot your career and (potentially) get paid more. I applied for maybe 50 positions outside the industry but Amazon was the only company willing to look beyond my past experience to understand the value that I could bring in a different industry. Plus, the control you have over your career at Amazon is a stark contrast from EM.

Over 100, have had about 15-20 interviews and 2 offers. EM’s total package is still strong, I would’ve taken either offer if I was unemployed but neither were good enough to pick up and leave.
