WHIL Session - Set Healthy Boundaries

Has anyone in upper management actually listened to any of these WHIL sessions?

The narrator of the session just informed me that the following is a healthy response to my manager.

I'm not comfortable taking on the additional responsibilities without further compensation.

Considering that their standard practice is to layoff hundreds and dump additional work on the unfortunate that are left behind, do they really want those people tuning into this stuff. Sure will be fun to have such a meeting with my manager after the next round of layoffs, which is currently in the works.

Bonus? What's a bonus?

That is rich. Whenever I took on new responsibilities, there was no extra money involved and people who worked in HR at other companies thought I was being weak by accepting that. They didn’t understand the culture there… they do that with everybody… you take on whatever they ask and hope to god it’s reflected in your bonus or an increase down the line.

At best, it typically saves a person from having their bonus cut by too much.
