Out of sheer curiosity and despite having nothing to do with layoffs, I wonder how long it took you to adapt to the culture of this company?
It's become clear to me that I have never been and will not be a good fit for this company and that I made a huge mistake by coming here. There are exceptions of course, there are some great people, but the atmosphere is generally awful.

it was only when I left DXC that I realized how unhealthy it was to be working for an organisation that was better at cost cutting and WFR than it was at acquiring new customers.
DXC is so good at managing the WFR process and exiting people quietly that you realise that is where it spends a lot of time and focus
The culture is to do the bare minimum , to pass the buck down the road for someone else to figure out, to add as many pointless calls to your calendar to make it look like you are doing something important since you are middle management and have absolutely nothing to do. Takes about a year or two to get it down if you aren’t wfr’d.
There is no culture at DXC, as there has been no efforts to create one company out of the parts. Stil there are remains of legacy cultures. It depends very much on country location and team.
The whole idea of DXC was just to be temporary. Look at marketing, sales, products. logo, processes, ... .
Even Mike2 is putting a bit more lipstick on the pig (purple I assume), still the goal is the same.
Did make me think for a bit - then I realised what the culture is.

I didn't. I stayed 2 years - it would have been less but Mike 2 started after I'd been there roughly 1 year, and made all the right noises. I stayed to give Mike 2 a chance - after all, I thought, the company had potential.
Unfortunately, DXC is too big a mess even for Mike 2. So I gave Mike 2 his chance - and as far as I was concerned he failed. I now work for a smaller consultancy based in Europe, and where the culture is a great fit for me.
