Have to admit, don't really know what the scope of Expert Labs is.
Org chart makes it look like they are part of Marketing?
Think they will be a post split RA Target?

You are correct, yet this id--t of AK does hate Expert Lab. It also wrecked the Organisation while he was SVP. But hey, now he can wrecked the entire IBM! Go go.. go go AK, you are the id--t.
Why so much hate on expert labs? They keep a lot of clients happy and they're willing to pay.
AK likes the Garage people... he hates Expert Labs. He is on record saying that too many times.
so far what ive seen on here is AK dot like expert labs, don't like sales people, don't like tech sales people - who does he like??? apart from the green backs
I remember when I went through entry sales education back in the 80ties, and that we clearly distinguished between specialists and experts. Only a very people earned to be called an expert back in the day. Today when we no longer have many (or any?) experts around, IBM certainly relaxed this nomenclature.
Expert Labs is a Services team. There are GBS, GTS (Kyndryl) and business partners to do their jobs. They don't really belong to software BU... IMHO, the entire Expert Labs needs to do what SWAT team does.

There is a use doe experts that are tied to software wit( deep skills but it should be a small set of true experts that support parts and GSIs with their implementations - not competition for them

Yes, Expert Labs is pretty much doomed (but not part of Marketing). Struggling to make money, no clear mission, not to mention AK's strategy is to use Business Partners. So, Expert Labs makes absolutely non sense these days. It will probably get folded 1Q 2022 using that extra billion set aside for restructuring.
