They are not done laying off. Clinical Performance will take a hit next then others will follow. They are trimming the fat otherwise known as middle management. Karma comes to those who least expect it. Peace Out!

LHI/Optum just laid off 130+ yesterday (July 29). There is more to come under UHG. Toxic company, culture is very bad!
Any dates for when clinical performance is to be laid off?
During last week’s quarterly employee call, BT commented that we need to improve in the area of affordability. There is more to come.
Clinical performance hired a person last year to do an audit top to bottom of the org structure and they have done 1st pass through all areas to determine redundancy. The entire area has been shifting to align job duties and roles under different leadership during that time and they are readjusting to see the impact. That is not even close to done. I expect continued movement and then once budgets are finalized, there will be workers moved under performing or favored managers and others let go. I would expect layoffs to occur coming up next week through October at a minimum. I would also expect some areas to get more help for new markets coming onboard. The signs are there, you just have to pay attention to the words upper management will say. For example, if you hear them say things like no way, you are safe, that means you are being laid off. If they said I would not expect you are, that means they probably didn't select you if they even had any input..
If you hear them say things like they instead of I when they talk about any projects or processes you are working on, know that they have already decided. This will be the 5th year of planned layoffs I have been through, the signs were there, I just didn't see them till this time.
Any dates when this will happen?
Actually a few Directors as well as associate directors and their managers too.
So Associate directors then? Just wondered when…
Yes I have heard the same that Middle mgmt will be taking the hit.
