Are they still considered high-value growth opportunities or are they being scaled back too? Where are most of the employees located regarding those initiatives? Dallas, Atlanta, California?

Agreed with the last post, company has a poor recourse planning record, moving the cloud isn’t going to change anything. My teams Azure migration has been overrun by 6 months and counting by Microsoft experts, at no time costs were ever brought up or discussed. They are great at telling people not to buy pencils and notepads, absolutely clueless on managing real cost.
And Legg even sent out email about how much more cloud is costing us because all the movement to the cloud over created unneeded cloud resources to service them and the bill is not only less than they predicted but more. Who didn't see that coming?
Get rid of all the people who knew these things and throw people who don't know more than how to check a few azure checkboxes. Meanwhile, get your azure certification because that is tracked whether you have a need for it or not.
Update your resume if you’re not supporting fiber build and mobility. Sad it only took leadership blowing 168B to figure out this new strategy.
Remember when getting into long distance was the be all to end all money maker for all the RBOCs? The execs at the time gave away everything they could i.e. cut the heads of workers so they could get into LD. He-l they paid huge bribes, er, uh, uhm, made big contributions to political stooges from both parties to get the great telcom act of ‘96 passed so us peons would have great companies to work for.

IoT being it’s own organization is gone and a lot of good people left or were forced out of the company. By good, I mean people who actually cared and were nice to be around. Some who stayed are in the business product team and sales is now into the segments like mobility. The IoT foundry in Plano is gone and is now a 5G innovation center whatever that means. I think some of the car people are still in Atlanta
Cloud is dead and outsourced to Microsoft Azure. IoT is sort of good, especially with 5G private network. The long term issue in IoT is the lack of security in each of the IoT devices.
