Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Lead by example

Can we expect from our management to start leading by example or is that just wishful thinking? They expect a lot from employees but they do nothing on their own. It doesn't work that way. Their behavior sends bad messages to everyone and all they achieve is to demoralize us to the maximum.

Managers literally create more problems than anything due to their lack of experience and gang mentality. They get each others backs like the police and they never cross that thin magenta line.

I disagree that there are "really great managers". Some are better than others but even the best tmobile manager is mediocre at best. They're directly responsible and actively enforce all the things that make working at tmobile suck.

Furthermore, try bumping heads with any manager and you will quickly see how bad they are. They will tell other managers about it and you will definitely be targeted for termination no matter how good your numbers are. Once you find yourself in that position, there is no coming back as they will hold the grudge until your terminated while simultaneously denying they have any hard feelings.

Managers are only following the lead of the lying executives. Multiple surveys. "Oh we hear you and will listen to you" only to do the exact opposite of all sentiment in the surveys. Sievert and his staff are the biggest bunch of liars I've seen in my career.

There are some really great and really bad managers here. Unfortunately the really good managers leave because they realize there’s very little they can do to help their people or bring change. My manager is leaving and I’m sick over it. Makes me want to leave too.

Yup Managment is fu----g lazy! They don’t do sh-t! Sick of it! Oh well. I won’t do sh-t unless it involves someone buying some sh-t since all we are is a number! Customers with issues can kick rocks or managers can get off their as--s and do something for once!
