It may sound ugly, but I was hoping to get laid off, mostly because of the severance pay. I didn’t get laid off and now I’m wondering what to do to become the target for the next round. I am already convinced that working the bare minimum is not a recipe for getting on the layoff list. Sure, I’d rather get a new job in the meantime, but I’m wondering what to do to be a more likely target for future layoffs?

I'm retired now ...but is this new requirement concerning the mandatory Covid vaccine? It's been on the media.

Wow, BDP is going to lose a LOT of crucial people now.
It's over for CareFirst.
Just know- When you are ready to leave whether it’s on your terms or theirs- it will be ok. Lots of jobs with companies that treat their employees well. There are many of us that have left- and are not only surviving but thriving.
In the meantime take care of yourself.
Be 45+ years old, have a lot of years at CF, make a good salary, have a good network of coworkers at the company who help you get work done. At least, that's how it worked for others.
You are not alone with this.
Working for this company has become the fear of encountering a middle school bully every single day. They knock you down, pick you up like they want to help, and just as soon as you're back on your feet you get su---r punched to the ground.... this time they walk away.
Just remember that Carefirst cares
