Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

This is about getting us to quit

BOA is just trying to get employees to quit or resign by asking them to return from WFH.

This is what it's all about. The CEO and his posse know full well how many employees have realized that WFH is not something they're willing to give up, be it for health-related or whatever other personal reasons. They figured out this is the easiest way to get rid of many of them without having to pay them severance. It's a win/win for them.

Employee #1 - 'I work hard in my WFH role, and Mgmt doesn't understand that'.
Employee #2 - ' Since they won't allow me to WHF, I'm going to give minimal effort from now on'.
Employee #3 - 'Since we are being asked to go back to the office, the company doesn't care about my family.'
Employee #4 - 'I'm going to find another company that allows WFH'.

New Applicant #1 - I don't care about any of those things. I need a job. I'll come into the office every day, on-time, work late, and do everything you ask, plus much more. Thank you for consideration of my application.

Umm - As a Hiring Manager, which one of these people do I want on my Team ?

These so called executives think they are so smart to try and force people back from wfh to avoid laying them off. This company has the worst management team ever. The CEO continues to wfh in palatial estate. He is nothing but a phony saying he cares about his employees. I know for a fact that there will be another surge in covid this fall. This company must use the wfh until we get a handle on this pandemic.CEO BM don't be a d-mbazz , protect your employees.

I took this job as a wfh before the pandemic. It was never sold to me that I would ever have to go into a fc. I am not in a customer facing position. Now everyone is going back to fc’s, and the nearest one to me is over an hour away. Fast forward in a few months and it is snow and ice time. Nope. I will continue to fight to stay home, and if not — I will fight for my severance. Moral of the story — get everything in writing.

I am going to give a half azz effort everyday until I find something better. Since this company doesn't care, I am not going to care. This mind set is going through a lot of employees that are set to return from WFH. This company has a bad history of discrimination and other issues that are on going to this day. I am just going to milk this job until I find something better.

I am glad some of you realize this company and CEO don't give a damn about the employees. That is why he gave some employees 2 cent pay raise and on top of that to stop WFH. That is why I noticed many employees are giving half azz effort , using sick time and abusing the daily covid check in to get time off. We all should put in the same that they give us which is nothing.

If i have to return to the office its for the follow

1- continue to get a paycheck until i find a company that cares about it's employees better than Bofa. It will become a punch in/out schedule for me...i wont care to put in the extra effort. 9-5 without a single min given to them (and my full lunch break).

2- to pickup a few things from my desk so that I can quit at any moments notice (I will quick same day and use the 2 weeks to prepare for the transition time to my new job)

3- misery loves company. To network with those leaving. Maybe they can help me too.
