Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

To Home Office

Dear Home Office,

You turn the lights off in the café at eight fifteen. Could you please leave the lights on until nine. That's when I'm scheduled to leave. It's hard to clean in the dark. Especially hard to clean parts of the oven without light.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
A café associate.

My manager tried to help He went to "trip the breakers" and the lights lasted thirty seconds before automatically turning back off. I may not be using the right terminology because I know very little about electric. The bottom line: my manager said it didn't work. He said nothing he tried worked.

When the store lights dim at eight fifteen; the café lights go off. I can't really tell if something is clean after that.

Thank all for your help and suggestions.

Ours have their own light switch. Have to turn on every morning. Call a electrician and get your own lighting just like all fresh departments.

There are two buttons in the breaker room (right as you enter electrical room for most clubs) about knee high that turns on all inside/outside lights respectively. Have to use frequently if coming in early and/or late for fresh positions.

Just tell a manager or lead and they can override by tripping the breaker and that will reset everything.

That's a accident waiting to happen , you could trip over something that you can't see in the dark, burn yourself, etc. All to save a few bucks!!! Can you say lawsuit if anything did happen to an associate because of lights being turned off OH MY....

Same thinking they use when deciding to turn on the air conditioning or the heater. It's over 100 here in Nevada in September into October and they shut off our air when night crew used to work. Then you have to call in the day to have them turn it on. ID--TS
