Layoffs moved up one week from Aug 2 to July 26. Described as “broad” (most business units impacted) but not that deep. Interpret as you will. Just wish I could offer myself as tribute.

Most of the dimwits here actually got the "steak sauce" reference. Most of you sound like complainers, and don't know anything. Specialists probably. May a Senior Manager. LOL. We teams compose of all Senior Managers (around 10), all reporting to a Senior Manager. However, not enough "steak sauce" to go around. Don't even get me started on the Director title.
@9vhh+1bV4cOHg the Managing Directors now have levels... A3 is the lowest, A1 is the highest. So "A1 Steak Sauce" is what this Di-krector is claiming. Pretty sure I know more than he does, and am not a specialist but see no need to flaunt my level. ;-)

If captain steak sauce really is a MD at Schwab (and I highly doubt it), it would at least validate all my opinions about how absolute garbage Schwab’s leadership is.

Got an email from a Schwab side Distinguished Engineer (i.e. senior tech director) who was let go today too. So looks like it's both companies who are trimming today.
Are these real directors as in Managing Director, or just Director. Because they are just Director, there's like a ton of that. It's like saying we let a Senior Manager go. There are teams that have like 10 Senior Managers with the new job title structure.

It’s happening now (July 26th).
From what I have been reading/hearing is, the next round is set (was) Aug 9th. The 2nd Monday of the 2nd month (6 weeks) after the quarter starts.
Jan 1st (1st/4th quarter) - Feb 8th (first round) - I had a teammate get laid off this day.
Apr 1st (2nd/1st quarter) - May 10th (second round) - I had another teammate get let go.
Jul 1st (3rd/2nd quarter) - Aug 9th (third round) - I might be next!!!
We don't really take seriously what is told to associates and specialists. Unless you are a managing director of the steak sauce variety, we won't listen to you. July 26th indeed.

Calling bull on the OP. First off, it is never on Mooonday. Second, it is still scheduled for August 2nd, and not July 26. Don't know where they are getting this fake news and misinformation. Finally, I am an officer level leader. Yes, that's right. Director Fury in the flesh. Authorization omega delta 80-386. And to emphasize, that's Managing Directory Fury, authorization A1.
