Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Post-merger layoff coming?

I'm hearing Q3 layoff announcements are coming once the post-merger store closing and office consolidations is complete....

This make sense after all but is there a logical plan execute?

T-Mobile doesn't sell lines. They falsify their records. Some people have already received notice of pending layoffs. Just because you don't hear about it in the news doesn't mean it's not happening. There were at least 50 ppl in OP that got notice a few months back.

T-Mobile is now too big to impress wall street just by selling lines and opening new accounts.
Layoffs will routine.

Tmobile sucks for many reasons including not laying off more managers!

I think the "big announcement" is/was 5G for All coming to prepaid.

I don't know why there's SO many managers either. Field sales managers of all shapes, sizes, and titles tripping all over each other....WAY way WAy overpaid, doing practically nothing except for running 3 dozen "reports" every day....
Mind boggling. TMO wasting millions on management un-needed salaries

T-Mobile has been cutting hours and lowering head count in retail for a while now. Inheriting sprint reps just makes it more a game of musical chairs.

Customer care is a different story. The turnover is so high they are cashing out for overtime. Great if you have no life outside of work though.

My opinion is there are too many managers that are overpaid. I don't understand why tmobile wastes so much money on management and allows them to do so little.

You can downvote me all you want.

Everyone is getting laid off!! Up votes.

That’s not true. No one is getting laid off. Down votes.

Come back here in six months and I’ll tell you I told you so. Read my lips: No more layoffs. In case you think I’m full of it, there’s a big top secret Metro announcement tomorrow morning. You’ll see.

No one has sources. Upper mgmt does not plan things out so it’s impossible to have sources. They told SEC they would be jobs positive. This company is one giant magenta snake

I bet I have a better source that says that’s completely false on Zone Manager. My source is very close to the sun.

Word on the street is that the “Zone Manager” position is one they are going to axe for sure. The only reason they are necessary right now is to manage the employees under them and that can be done with way less people. Get rid of just half your Zone Managers are you save $$$$. But as I said a solid source indicating the position will be eliminated all together.

I'm sure the layoffs would come after the quarterly earnings call next week. Will be interested to see how Sievert tries to explain Boost signing a 10 year deal with AT&T. Boost says "you're going to turn off CDMA, we're going elsewhere".

Store closures are coming for sure and who knows what's next...likely shove those people into existing stores until they quit and that way no severance to pay lol
