Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

GE is still, I repeat still a garbage, corrupt and unethical company!!

GE is still a garbage, corrupt and unethical company!!

Comparing latest filing in April 2021:
https://www.ge.com/sites/default/files/ge_webcast_10Q_04272021.pdf

Under Culpable's tenure, USA employment went from 101,200 Americans to 57,000 American workers, a reduction of 44%... yup 44%. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/ge-has-nearly-halved-its-u-s-workforce-in-3-years-with-more-job-cuts-likely-11613160793

At the same time, GE also cut foreigners from payrolls, from 187,800 to 124,000 foreign workers in other countries, a reduction of 34%.

Clearly Culpable favors foreign labor over USA labor!

Since 2018, the top countries Culpable "transitioned" jobs to were:
Sweden +670
Netherlands +645
Romania +578
Czechia +576
Croatia +494
Egypt +440
South Africa +472
Austria +412
Argentina +322
Thailand +277
India ?? cannot forget about them.
China?? cannot forget about them.

GE appears to be using (foreign) labor to "persuade" foreign governments to buy its cr-p products? Err um' green energy BS Windmills and terrible medical device products. Can you say Out of Box (OOB) failures.

DO NOT DRINK THE GE, THE GEHC, The Larry Culp or whatever stooge they put in their to be CEO of this train wreck of a once great American Company kool-aid!

Layoff, layoff, layoff... layoff that is what they do! Have a job now with the General and you are not concerned? Big mistake later or sooner IT WILL happen to you!!

Put a flippin' fork in this baby boomer dinosaur it is done!!!! WTF.

There is nothing unethical about maximizing shareholder value. Americans are too fat d-mb and stupid and make too much money. You sound like a communist. Quit crying and get your stock price up. The lazy individual contributors on the US payroll have greatly hurt investors who own your company.

Yes, GE is VERY unethical. When you start selling major upgrades to sites just to run a tool that doesn't work in the first place and do not care about patient safety, you have ethical issues. Laying off your force means you lack of work. This isn't the case if you are hiring NEW people with no experience to replace them, and giving them a new title during onboarding to hide it under your reorg. Letting someone go has been with company right before retirement....and not just one or two people...that's no way to treat your dedicated employees. Them you wonder why you were so red on your sales and revenue???? It's because your products do not work and sites are leaving. Fool me twice GE? Get a clue. "Scalability" means layoffs. More to come!

I agree, more layoffs to come.

It is better to get a government job and “feed at the tax-payer funded trough!”

GEHC is no place any longer to build a career!

Yup, more layoffs coming to a GEHC cost center near you.

And when you get laid off you get no vacation, no severance for years served; just a big boot up your a$$ that says buh-bye.

"@ GEHC we know how to ruin good employees"

What do you mean "no parachutes" ?
Are you saying no retirement packages coming ?
Thats no the GE way.
If true Culp is no good , he surely gets his take annually.
Culp is turning company into a terrible company.

All due respects this has been going on since Welch was here. Only reason we were not complaining as much as those who were working were doing well. The difference today is benefits have been sacrificed as well as parachutes for those who are effected.

GE is no different than most other companies. They will sacrifice US employees for cheaper labor abroad. When you have $47 mil in bonus money waiting in the wings, you begin to find ways of making sure you secure that money. Cutbacks through the workforce is no different.
If anyone here truly believes GE is unethical, you should quit. Take your talents somewhere else.

Dont forget the fact that of those remaining 57.000 “american” workers, less than 40% are actually American. The rest are imported from India, China or other countries. And the trend will continue, as long as the moneys coming in and support that.

Did you get laid off there chief? GE has divested quite a few companies so it would be normal to think payroll is down. Stock price would indicate that GE is tracking correctly. Not a perfect place, but certainly better without clowns like you. Most of the folks leaving now are doing so on their own, leaving quite a few vacancies for those willing to stick it out.
