Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What is wrong with Chevron HSE?

Every since the reorg, I have not been able to get anyone in HSE to help with anything. They all seem extremely bothered when I ask a question. When they roll something out, I asked if it got vetted in the field? I am told to just do it.

Why do these people feel like they run the company? I thought I had a handle on OEMS but over the last 2 months, I have gotten so confused on what is being said and shared. Is this OEMS 3.0 now? Who is running this thing and are there any controls and vetting going on?

Why do these people make things so complicated?

You will get immediate traction if you identify the soft and hard saving of not doing the HSE task and if it truly does not add value. There are no sacred cows in CVX, if what my manager tells me is true.

I am not the OP but if we could share our true thoughts internally without getting punished, we would. Look what DP did to those that shared their thoughts openly. They all got laid off. I am keeping my mouth shut internally. I need to keep this job.

@aiz problem is that the original post is factually wrong. So if you want to give hse feedback or help makes things better, then follow a different path to actually help instead of posting on an anonymous layoff board. Let’s stop complaining and start changing.

I think this proves another poster's point about the Chevron culture. Quick to call people trolls, Quick to call people whinners, IT IS THE CHEVRON WAY.

It would be nice if we as Chevron employees knew how to have a dialogue.
