We are a means to a financial end. Nothing more. And they have the nerve to ask us to get excited about THEIR goals! What about OUR goals?
I have one interview next week. As a programmer, I have options.

They always treated IT employees bad. They make excuses about things being tough for financial companies but it doesn't really matter to an IT professional. If they can't afford us, then they can go without. Or fill seats with people from India who have had a few online programming courses.
