Not that I think that we are any more special than the next company, but Oracle had its share of layoffs, and from what I can see they haven’t been covered by the media at all. I know that the company tries to keep a low profile in terms that they perform layoffs into so big portion and in different parts of the country but other companies do that too and you can find a lot more info in the media about layoffs at those companies than you can find about Oracle layoffs. What’s the deal here?

Oracle USA is just another indi!an sweatshop here in America!!
Oracle, like so many tech companies, is the wrong place to work if you are American born. The tech industry has been overrun by H-1B visa holders since the early 2000's. Once an H-1B manager is in place they tend to hire their compatriots. I would never advise an American student to get a computer science degree. The numbers will only get worse under the current "no borders" administration.
“ Any glamor and esteem of the US tech industry was worn off long ago.”
Except for the social media industry, SpaceX, Google, Amazon, et. al.
Where’s your list of tech stars from overseas?
Deport back millions of H!bs back to !Ndia and American tech employees will flourish
Any glamor and esteem of the US tech industry was worn off long ago. American tech workers are loozers, like lightbulbs - easily replaced with the cheapest available when they burn out.

Do you have more information on the layoffs, where? how many people? do you have materials, videos, documents showing outsourcing? there are benefits for employees that lose their jobs due to outsourcing. https://www.doleta.gov/tradeact/
Oracle likes to outsource jobs from high cost areas to cheaper areas such as third world countries like India, thus overall number of employees doesn't change much: this may explain why Oracle don't make it to the news.
